The name of the wine refers to the characteristics of the tool on display in the permanent exhibition that was used with the ‘plough’ to work the land to make it cultivable: just as its movement was decisive, but soft in cutting the clods, so the taste of our Chianti Classico is defined and enveloping to accompany the delights of the palate. It comes from the selection of the best Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino grapes. Vinification has remained by the classic method and the wine does not undergo any filtration or chemical treatment. It is a wine with intense aromas, with hints of ripe fruit and blackberry jam. With a dry and fresh taste, with a refined tannic part, savoury and persistent, it is excellent with earthy first courses and not very fatty meat main courses.
